picture not clear enough to tell for sure, and 21st week of 1966.
Electronic components such as transformers, potentiometers, speakers, and some capacitors are often stamped with a date code, which indicates the manufacturer and the manufacturing date.
The code follows the format: = a number from 1 - 52 indicating the week of manufacture.
Based on online searches I believe it may be an ‘81. The speaker looks to be original with the numbers 023044, 8CJE-1and 465115.
It has the black face panel with just ‘vibro champ’ on the right side. The odd thing is that the back of the amp is stamped with an A849282 serial number, which from what I’ve managed to turn up makes it a ‘76? Yes that’s what has me thinking this is an early 80’s model.
But am I correct in saying they only made silver face amps in ‘76? Near as I can figure they must’ve been using up the left over silverface amps stamped with an A serial number in the first of the blackface 80’s models.
